EPA allows early sale of winter gasoline to boost supply, cut prices

The EPA has authorized an early sale of winter gasoline through a waiver. This action is expected to boost domestic supply and help cut prices by adding hundreds of thousands of barrels per day. The waiver takes effect on Sept. 1, two weeks before the summer control season ends.
