DC-area volunteers raising money for truck to support Ukraine war effort
D.C.-area volunteers are engaged in a grassroots fundraising campaign to send specially equipped trucks to Ukraine for military units. Jeffrey Bloch, helping lead Maryland’s effort through 50 States for Ukraine, noted that funds from nearby areas have already funded multiple vehicles. These vehicles are acquired and modified by Car for Ukraine and are used for critical functions like evacuating injured soldiers or demonstrating visible American support.
