IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains unsecured and lacks confirmation that mines have been removed from the waterway, thus contradicting statements made by Donald Trump. He warned that he will not call for any vessels to risk transiting the area until there is confirmed demining and security assurance against attacks.
