Amazon, Uber, DoorDash, and Walmart are taking the delivery wars to the skies

Major delivery companies such as Amazon and DoorDash are escalating their efforts in drone technology, promising packages and food delivered from the sky. Despite initial setbacks, like a package falling into a pool in Richmond, Texas, these corporations are making large expansion bets. For instance, Amazon plans to expand its Prime Air service to nearly 500 U.S. cities by 2026, while DoorDash launched its commercial drone service after receiving FAA certification.
