Judge clears way for Catherine Hoggle’s insanity plea

A Montgomery County judge cleared the way for Catherine Hoggle to enter a plea of not criminally responsible, Maryland’s equivalent of an insanity plea. During recent court proceedings, Judge James Bonifant also ordered a new mental health evaluation, which might push back Hoggle's trial scheduled for October. The charges relate to the 2014 disappearance and alleged murders of her two young children.
