Denver nonprofit distributes free AC units and air purifiers to heat-vulnerable families

Focus Points Family Resource Center, a Denver nonprofit, received two $50,000 grants from Denver's Office of Climate Action to distribute free portable AC units and air purifiers. These resources are aimed at helping heat-vulnerable families in the Globeville-Elyria-Swansea area, specifically those with children or adults 65 and older. The initiative is part of Denver's Cool Homes program and addresses issues related to extreme heat and poor industrial air quality.
