The Giles County Sheriff’s Office addressed social media allegations concerning a deputy involving the euthanization of two dogs. The involved deputy was placed on administrative leave, and the sheriff's office requested an independent investigation from the District Attorney General’s Office. Sheriff Joe Purvis stated that while he cannot comment on details due to the active investigation, the department takes these allegations seriously.
