Alphabet Inc., parent company of Google, issued debt in Australia for the first time in August to help fund its AI spending. The technology giant raised A$5.5 billion ($3.9 billion) through the sale of so-called Kangaroo bonds, drawing interest from overseas borrowers into Australia’s bond market.
