Aug. 19: Vanderbilt Provost Gets a New Job; Restore Our Fairgrounds Coalition Rallies Support

C. Cybele Raver, provost at Vanderbilt University, has been named president-designate at the University of Michigan. Separately, the Restore Our Fairgrounds Coalition rallied support for a charter amendment that would remove auto racing requirements from the fairgrounds. Elected officials expressed support for this initiative, while others displayed renderings of proposed community developments for the site.
