Alaska athlete uses bear spray to fend off animal attack: ‘nightmare come to life’

Klaire Rhodes, an athlete, was attacked and injured by a brown bear while running on the Wolverine Bowl trail in Chugach state park. She used bear spray to defend herself during the encounter, which she described as 'a nightmare come to life'.
