Detroit opens 17 affordable apartments in revitalized Gratiot Woods building
Detroit celebrated the opening of Rohns Apartments in Gratiot Woods, a transformed historic building now offering 17 new affordable units. This development is part of Detroit’s efforts to expand housing through the Payment instead of Taxes (PILOT) program, which simplifies and speeds up the approval process for qualifying affordable developments. These efforts are supported by Mayor Mary Sheffield's Rise Higher Community Framework.
