VB City Council establishes 12-month moratorium on data centers in the city

The Virginia Beach City Council unanimously decided to enact a one-year moratorium on issuing permits for data centers. This decision means there will be no new data centers permitted in Virginia Beach at least for now. Mayor Bobby Dyer spoke about the measure, stating it was intended to "put the brakes on."
