Donalds, Jolly emerge from primaries

Byron Donalds won the Republican primary with 48% of the vote, while David Jolly easily defeated five opponents in the Democratic primary, earning 61% of the vote. Both men are now nominees for the state's next governor after winning their respective primaries. Following his victory, Donalds stated that Jolly represents "everything that folks hate about Washington, D.C."
