Man once told he wouldn't walk begins trek from NYC to California

Fergus Farrell, a man from Galway, Ireland, is starting a 75-day trek from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Santa Monica Pier in California. Doctors had previously told him he had only a 5% chance of ever walking again after his spinal cord was severed by a back disc. The journey marks his determined attempt to walk across the country.
