Taiwan is using Frankenstein-style tanks made with old Patton designs to guard the gateway to its capital
CM-11 Brave Tiger tanks, which are assemblies of Cold War-era parts utilizing M60A3 chassis and M48A3 Patton turret designs, were deployed in fixed positions guarding the Tamsui River. This river is vital for Taipei's defense as it provides a route from the Taiwan Strait into the capital. The deployment was observed during Taiwan’s annual 10-day Han Kuang exercise.
