Op-Ed | New York needs to get THC beverages right

The illegal sale of unregulated THC drinks in New York poses public risks and deprives the state of revenue, harming licensed local businesses. The author proposes establishing an enforcement task force that combines multiple state agencies to combat these illicit activities. Additionally, passage of legislation by Senator Jeremy Cooney and Assemblymember Al Stirpe would allow regulated, low-potency THC beverages from New York's licensed industry to be sold in familiar settings like liquor and beer stores.
