Girl Tribe closing South End store after nearly a decade

Girl Tribe Co. will close its South End store at 1800 Camden Road on Aug. 31 after nearly a decade of operation. The co-founders, Sarah Baucom and Carrie Barker, decided not to renew the lease, citing the need to focus on moving forward. Girl Tribe's next chapter will concentrate on wholesale opportunities, brand licensing deals (for graphic tees, sweatshirts, and hats), and creating a lasting business model that maintains 100% ownership.
