A futuristic, hybrid-electric aircraft took flight at a test demo in Philadelphia

Electra tested a two-person hybrid-electric prototype aircraft in Philadelphia at the Tioga Marine Terminal on Monday morning. The airplane uses a turbogenerator and propellers to achieve advanced air mobility capabilities for short-distance flights. Officials noted that this emerging industry could bring job creation, manufacturing, and infrastructure needs to Pennsylvania.
