Detroit 911 dispatcher honored after using fire engine siren to help locate unconscious man
Detroit 911 dispatcher Latonya Estes was recognized for using a fire engine siren's sound to guide crews toward an unconscious man. After the man could only give a vague location near Puritan Avenue and Schaefer Highway, Estes realized the receding siren helped direct Engine 30. Firefighters eventually located the man, who has since been released from the hospital.
