AP Decision Notes: What to expect in California’s special congressional election
Following Eric Swalwell's resignation from Congress, constituents will vote for a replacement in California’s 14th Congressional District. State Sen. Aisha Wahab and Bay Area Rapid Transit Board President Melissa Hernandez are competing in the special election, which determines who will serve out the remainder of his term. Outside groups associated with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee spent approximately $4.1 million on the race, supporting Hernandez while opposing Wahab.
