Car seat caution: Some vehicles fit child seats much better than others

A new report suggests that not all vehicles fit child car seats equally well, requiring parents to test for ease of use. Cars.com tested dozens of models and found limited top performers, including the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 and 2026 Volkswagen Tiguan. Other high-scoring options cited were the Honda CR-V Hybrid and Kia Sportage Hybrid.
