Activist’s Case Against NYPD Survives Challenge, Alleges Leak of Sex Assault Details
A federal judge allowed Dana Rachlin’s lawsuit against NYPD to proceed on allegations that police officials leaked details of her sexual assault and maintained “ghost access” to sensitive case files. The suit names former NYPD officials including Jeffrey Maddrey, Kaz Daughtry, and John Chell. City Corporation Counsel Steven Banks has since denied the accusations in response.
