Police investigate drive-by shooting at Newton apartment complex

A shooting was reported early Sunday morning outside the Daybreak Apartments on East 1st Street in Newton. Witnesses observed officers from the Newton Police Department searching for shell casings at the scene. Although no one was reported hit, the incident remains under investigation.
