FORECAST: Triple-digit heat index grips Charlotte under Heat Advisory

A Heat Advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday for the Charlotte metro area due to near-record high temperatures reaching the mid-to-upper 90s. High humidity will cause it to feel between 103 and 107 degrees at times, and this extreme heat is forecast to continue through next week.
