Business owner reeling after bandit snatches letters from 5 mailboxes in Oakland Park

An Oakland Park business owner reported that a man stole letters from five mailboxes at a business complex near Northeast 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue on August 1. The thief was observed using a scooter and appeared to be operating as part of an elaborate, planned scheme involving other individuals. Authorities are investigating the theft; the business owner has filed reports with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is also investigating.
