Birmingham launches safety plan in response to brawl

Following a brawl, Birmingham implemented a new safety plan. The police department announced increased vehicle, bike, and foot patrols in the downtown area while also swearing in their new chief. Furthermore, the Fire Department will conduct unscheduled occupancy inspections at downtown businesses.
