Deputy and his K-9 partner track down endangered patient who ran away from hospital

A North Carolina sheriff’s deputy, Sgt. John Smith, and his K-9 partner, Tango, were honored for tracking down an endangered patient who had fled a hospital in Brunswick County. The K-9 successfully picked up the scent and tracked the individual through the woods and across fields toward deputies positioned along the perimeter.
