6 new Colorado traffic safety laws take effect, honoring families who fought for change

Six significant traffic safety laws took effect across Colorado, including Magnus's Law, which requires an officer to offer a voluntary breathalyzer test when fault is suspected in a crash that kills or seriously injures someone. Other new mandates include making stopping or parking in marked bike lanes illegal statewide and standardizing school zones at minimum lengths.
