Tropical Storm Hernan forms in the Pacific while a different weather system could soak Hawaii

Tropical Storm Hernan formed in the Pacific Ocean but was not threatening land. Separately, a system called Potential Tropical Cyclone One-C was moving toward Hawaii, where it is forecast to bring heavy rain and flooding starting late Friday. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Cristobal weakened in the Atlantic Ocean and was expected to dissipate.
