Biden-era directive for diplomats to peddle DEI on foreign governments scrapped by State Department

Trump's State Department announced that it is dropping previous Biden-era guidelines which had directed diplomats to promote a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) agenda among foreign governments. These discarded policies previously dictated involvement in discussions about racial/gender equity and required adherence to criteria such as promoting "allyship," which impacted job promotions at the department. The department confirmed that these DEI-related assessment criteria no longer apply when evaluating staff performance.
