Martinez man released from jail 1 day before he stabbed victim to death, police say

Police reported that Marcos Iriarte-Valdez, a Martinez man, was released from a Contra Costa County jail just one day before he allegedly committed a homicide. Authorities stated that Iriarte-Valdez was arrested by a SWAT team on August 7 after being accused of murdering Todd Stewart.
