Will Metro Detroit skies clear in time for Perseid meteor shower?

Clearing skies are predicted late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, offering ideal conditions for viewing the Perseid meteor shower peak. While isolated showers remain possible in Metro Detroit's northern suburbs on Wednesday, generally drier weather is expected through Saturday. A cold front approaching the Great Lakes brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday, followed by mainly dry conditions returning Monday and Tuesday.
