Cheatham County deputy fires shots at vehicle as driver flee traffic stop, fearing vehicle would hit him
A Cheatham County deputy fired shots at a car during an attempted traffic stop on Highway 70 near the Davidson County line after the driver fled, believing he was heading toward deputies. Although no one in the vehicle was hurt, the driver's car eventually became disabled, allowing deputies to take the driver into custody. The initial traffic stop had been made through contact from the Metro Nashville Police Department.
