Aug. 12: Heat advisory issued as triple-digit heat indices return

A heat advisory has been issued for Broward County, the Archdiocese of Miami, and Monroe County due to predicted triple-digit heat indices. Although high temperatures are expected to be in the low 90s, the heat index will reach into the triple digits from noon until 7 p.m., bringing potential storm chances to inland Broward and Miami-Dade areas.
