Hiroshi Okuda, who led Toyota's climb as a global automaker, dies at 93

Hiroshi Okuda, the former chief executive of Toyota, has died at 93. He served as president then chairman of Toyota Motor Corp. from 1995 through 2006 and is remembered for developing the gas-electric hybrid Prius. Okuda was also key in leading Toyota's global expansion by setting up manufacturing plants in the U.S. and Europe.
