Alfonso carries GOP primary in Wisconsin’s 7th CD
Michael Alfonso won the Republican primary for Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District after competing for U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany’s open seat. The victory was notable given that Alfonso is the son-in-law of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and received an endorsement from President Donald Trump. Alfonso, who entered the race in October 2025, had faced criticism regarding his lack of experience.
