States, cities try to keep ICE out of schools

More than a dozen states have enacted laws designed to keep ICE away from schools, but an incident in Baltimore showed limits on local authority when confronting federal enforcement. During one such incident, ICE agents arrested Jesus Acevedo Sanchez and detained his wife near Commodore John Rodgers Elementary/Middle School. However, a federal judge later ordered the release of Sanchez, ruling that the agents did not have probable cause for the arrest.
