State of Ohio reverses course, finds Cuyahoga jail staff failed to start CPR in Wade’s death

State of Ohio inspectors concluded that correctional staff at the Cuyahoga County jail failed to start CPR immediately after Jennifer Wade's heart stopped. The state reopened its review after video evidence showed that corrections staff left her alone in her cell for hours, and more than 20 minutes elapsed before CPR began. Inspectors also found that only three of the twelve responding officers were CPR trained.
