A ballot fight over corporate money in Michigan politics is coming to voters
Michiganders for Money Out of Politics submitted signatures for a ballot initiative slated for the November 2026 election to reform campaign finance in Michigan. If passed, the proposal would ban companies with over $250,000 in annual state government contracts and regulated utilities from political spending. The effort aims to curb outside corporate spending that currently dominates Michigan elections.
