Bars in SF's Castro District suspend use of ID face scans after privacy concerns

Two popular bars, Badlands and Toad Hall, in San Francisco's Castro neighborhood suspended their use of ID verification technology after facing community pushback. The technology, named Patronscan Guard+, was described as an AI-assisted identification reader similar to airport systems.
