Body camera footage released from deputy shooting deemed legally justified

Authorities released body camera footage concerning a deputy shooting that happened on Dec. 28 in Northwest 17th Avenue and 95th Street. The incident occurred after a deputy opened fire on a suspected stolen vehicle when the suspect fled the scene during a traffic stop. Miami-Dade prosecutors determined that the deputy was legally justified in firing his weapon, though the suspect was never found.
