Colombia searches for its missing after a powerful earthquake kills more than 100

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, killing at least 111 people and leaving over 2,700 people reported missing after extensive damage to buildings. Around 1,600 structures were damaged or collapsed across cities including Cali, Quibdo, and Pereira. President Abelardo de la Espriella mobilized the military apparatus for rescue efforts, which also received $15.5 million from the U.S. State Department.
