Preliminary autopsy results confirmed that Master Deputy Jillian Olson drowned during a training dive in Lake Murray. The findings determined the cause of death was freshwater drowning, though officials noted that the circumstances are still under investigation. In her honor, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon announced that Olson’s call sign, 122, will be retired.
