Ventura shooting becomes homicide case after victim dies in hospital

The Ventura Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred near Riverside and Ramona streets in Ventura on Aug. 4. The case has been upgraded to a homicide investigation after the victim died in the hospital days later.
