Activist faces federal charge after airport phone search
Samuel Tunick, an activist tied to the “Stop Cop City” movement, faces federal charges after being searched by CBP agents at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He was charged with allegedly deleting the digital contents of a Google Pixel cellular phone to prevent the government from taking it into custody. His attorneys filed motions arguing that officers never read him his Miranda rights and that the questioning authority was improperly used.
