League of Women Voters works to engage first-time voters ahead of midterms

Nonpartisan groups, including the League of Women Voters, are actively working to engage first-time voters ahead of the 2026 midterms. The organization hosted a “Unite & Rise for Voting Rights” Day of Action in Detroit to promote civic engagement and voting rights. Organizers stated that their objective is solely to give people information so they feel confident when going to the ballot, without endorsing any candidates or parties.
