Trump pumps brakes on Senate budget plan, delaying GOP SAVE America push

Senate Republicans left Washington without passing the SAVE America Act, delaying its status until next month. A vote on a $150 billion budget blueprint by Sen. Ron Johnson was paused after Trump intervened over concerns about its outcome. Republicans have instead agreed that they will work diligently through August into September to create an improved budget reconciliation bill.
