IS-linked group kills at least 13 in Congo village

Militants affiliated with the Islamic State group attacked a village in Congo near Uganda, resulting in at least 13 civilian deaths and extensive looting. The violence occurred in Banana École, a suburb of Mambasa, and local residents indicated that the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) were responsible for the attacks. The region faces instability from numerous groups, including the Rwanda-backed M23 rebel group.
