Maui police chief addresses bribery allegations against lieutenant

Maui's police chief is addressing allegations of bribery against one of his lieutenants. Court documents allege that Michael Vaitu’ulala accepted regular cash payments from organizers of illegal cockfights. These payments were allegedly received in exchange for ensuring Maui police would not enforce animal fighting laws.
