City of Pittsburg scammed out of nearly $1 million

The City of Pittsburg was victimized by a phishing scam in February, incurring losses of $913,839.81 when an unauthorized payment went to a fraudulent account. Local police assisted with a cyber investigation and successfully recovered $696,241.
